1. Overview
This document describes the configuration required to enable secure communication between the Star meter and PNPSCADA system over a 4G modem.
2. Programming the meter for 4G communication.
2.1 Login to the desktop manufacture software (StarMM) .
2.2.After gaining access to the StarMM application ,navigate to the Communication tab once it opens select Abstracts for network Mgmt and after that click Auto Connect once in auto connect select destination list ,Press the Read Meter after reading click on the blue marker under destination to setup your server ip and port number separate ip and port with : ;
2.3.Then once your done with the first step press the set to meter button to configure your meter the relevant ip and port you?ve specified .
Setting up the APN on the software .
- To setup the APN open GPRS modem setup card 1 0r 2 and click on APN and press the read meter button.
- It will show you the default APN set up in hex if its not correct use a text to hex to write the correct APN your using .In that text to hex write the correct name and click convert .
- Once the text you wrote is converted to hex take the hex values and go to the meter software and paste it on the editbox and click Set to Meter button .
- After this operation click read meter button to confirm everything is correct.
3. Set the multidrop, follow this steps:
To Configure multidrop communication on PNPSCADA:
3.1. Select the meter entity .
3.2.From the top menu, click Edit .
3.3.Select meter Details .
You will be navigated to the configuration page.
- Set the multidrop to 16400 .
- Set the password to :90497128.
3.4.Click submit to save the configuration.
